NBA DFS: Wendell Carter Jr. and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Dec. 3, 2021

NBA DFS: Wendell Carter Jr. and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Dec. 3, 2021

Houston Rockets forward Jae’Sean Tate is one of the hottest-rising players on daily Fantasy basketball sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. On Wednesday night against Oklahoma City, Tate broke out with 32 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks to finish with one of the best single-game performances in the NBA this season. Houston hosts the lowly Orlando Magic on Friday night, but is Tate worth paying a premium for in the day’s NBA DFS player pool?

Tate’s performance against the Thunder wasn’t quite a one-off. In the Rockets’ two previous games, he averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 assists. In ten starts between November 2 and November 20, he averaged 13.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Orlando has been a bottom-ten Fantasy defense against the small forward position, so Tate has another opportunity to produce for Houston and in NBA DFS lineups. Before finalizing your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Thursday, McClure listed Suns point guard Chris Paul as one of his top NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Paul recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists to go with two steals, which returned 32.25 points on DraftKings and 34.2 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, December 3 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, December 3

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Friday includes Magic F/C Wendell Carter Jr. ($8,500 on FanDuel and DraftKings). Carter has been remarkably consistent for an Orlando team that frequently suffers from the pitfalls of having one of the NBA’s youngest rosters. Over his last five games he’s averaged 17 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest.

Carter has been one of the better 3-point shooters for the Magic this season, although he’s been on a bit of a cold snap lately. Fortunately, Houston has been poor at defending in the key over its last three games (52 points per contest), and Carter should be able to expose that weakness. When Orlando’s offense is clicking, Carter is often on the receiving end of alley-oops, and he should see plenty of those looks on Friday.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Miami sharpshooter Tyler Herro ($7,000 on FanDuel and $7,500 on DraftKings). After missing two games due to illness, Herro was thrust into the starting lineup on Wednesday after Jimmy Butler was ruled out with a tailbone injury. Herro finished with 21 points in his return against Cleveland, but will get the start again tonight in a friendlier matchup against an Indiana team that has allowed opponents to hit 48.8 percent of their shots over the last three games.

Herro is hitting nearly 40 percent of his 3-point attempts this season and in the Pacers‘ last game against Atlanta on Wednesday, nearly half of the Hawks‘ points came from 3-pointers. In Miami’s second game this year, Herro went off against the Pacers and scored 30 points to go with ten rebounds.
