Who’s Playing
Dayton @ SMU
Current Records: Dayton 6-3; SMU 7-3
What to Know
The Dayton Flyers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the SMU Mustangs at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Moody Coliseum. Dayton will be seeking to avenge the 66-64 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Dec. 5 of last year.
The Flyers simply couldn’t be stopped on Saturday, as they easily beat the Northern Illinois Huskies at home 79-41. Dayton’s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but guard Malachi Smith led the charge as he had 11 points along with five boards.
Meanwhile, SMU strolled past the Vanderbilt Commodores with points to spare on Saturday, taking the contest 84-72. SMU’s guard Kendric Davis did his thing and had 21 points and five assists in addition to five steals.
Dayton is expected to lose this next one by 4.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a five-game streak of ATS wins.
Their wins bumped the Flyers to 6-3 and the Mustangs to 7-3. Watch the game and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
