After a few days’ rest for both teams, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Orlando Magic will meet up at 3:30 p.m. ET Dec. 11 at Staples Center. The Clippers should still be riding high after a win, while Orlando will be looking to right the ship.
Things were close when Los Angeles and the Boston Celtics clashed on Wednesday, but Los Angeles ultimately edged out the opposition 114-111. Shooting guard Brandon Boston Jr. was the offensive standout of the contest for Los Angeles, shooting 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and finishing with 27 points.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Orlando and the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday was not a total blowout, but with the Magic falling 142-130 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. A silver lining for Orlando was the play of point guard Cole Anthony, who shot 6-for-9 from downtown and finished with 33 points and eight dimes.
The Clippers are the favorite in this one, with an expected 8.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
Los Angeles came up short against Orlando when the two teams previously met in March, falling 103-96. Can Los Angeles avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll soon find out.
