Current Records: Toledo 7-2; Richmond 5-4
What to Know
The Richmond Spiders will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the Toledo Rockets at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday at Robins Center. Richmond is out to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
The Spiders were able to grind out a solid victory over the Northern Iowa Panthers on Sunday, winning 60-52. Forward Tyler Burton took over for Richmond, finishing with 26 points (a whopping 43% of their total) along with six boards.
Meanwhile, the Bradley Braves typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Toledo proved too difficult a challenge. Toledo had just enough and edged out Bradley 67-65. Guard Ryan Rollins and forward JT Shumate were among the main playmakers for the Rockets as the former had 27 points and the latter had 18 points in addition to nine rebounds.
Their wins bumped the Spiders to 5-4 and Toledo to 7-2. On Sunday Richmond relied heavily on Burton, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 26 points and six boards. It will be up to Toledo’s defense to limit his damage.
