Fantasy Football Week 15 Quarterback Preview: Streaming options, projections, and more

If you’ve streamed Taysom Hill the past two weeks it’s been a harrowing, but ultimately rewarding, experience. I would not suggest that you try to extend that experience into the Fantasy playoffs unless your waiver wire is very thin. 

There are three quarterbacks available in at least 40% of leagues that I would start over Hill. We’ll get to them in the waiver wire section below, but for now, let’s talk about Hill. On the surface, he looks like a must-start quarterback, averaging better than 24 Fantasy points per game in his six career starts. But he’s been very fortunate two weeks in a row. 

In Week 13 it took a 70-yard touchdown pass in garbage time (down 17, less than three minutes to go) to push Hill from 16 Fantasy points to 24. In Week 14 Hill needed a 44-yard touchdown run on 3rd and 12 with 1:15 to go in a two-score game. 

In Week 15 Hill will face arguably the best defense he has yet, and definitely the best run defense. While there may be garbage time, and he could possibly pull it off again, there are too many good streaming options to have to count on that, especially in the Fantasy playoffs. • 21.3 — Tua Tagovailoa is averaging 21.3 FPPG in his seven complete games this season.
• 19.6 — Lamar Jackson has not scored more than 19.6 Fantasy points in a game since Week 9.
• 20.1 — Justin Fields has scored at least 20.1 Fantasy points in each of his last three complete games.
• 120 — Kyler Murray has 120 rushing yards in two games since returning from injury.
• 80.8% — Jimmy Garoppolo’s 80.8% on-target rate is the third-best mark in the league per Pro Football Reference.
• 30 — Patrick Mahomes has had 30 passes dropped this season, the most in the NFL.
