What to Know
The Converse Valkyries are on the road again on Friday and play against the Winthrop Eagles at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 31 at Winthrop Coliseum. Both teams were wiped off the court in their previous games and will be looking to bounce back in a big way.
Converse took a serious blow against the South Carolina Upstate Spartans last week, falling 78-38.
Meanwhile, Winthrop got maybe a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Mississippi State Bulldogs an easy 84-63 victory. Winthrop’s defeat came about despite a quality game from forward D.J. Burns Jr., who had 20 points.
