What to Know
The Wright State Raiders will be returning home after a two-game road trip. The Raiders and the Northern Kentucky Norse will face off in a Horizon League battle at noon ET on Sunday at Ervin J. Nutter Center. NKU will be strutting in after a win while Wright State will be stumbling in from a defeat.
It was close but no cigar for Wright State as they fell 60-57 to the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers on Friday. Wright State didn’t live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the 9-point advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
Meanwhile, NKU was able to grind out a solid victory over the Green Bay Phoenix on Friday, winning 71-62.
The Raiders are now 15-11 while the Norse sit at 14-10. Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Wright State has allowed their opponents an average of 7.4 steals per game, the 45th most in college basketball. To make matters even worse for Wright State, NKU enters the matchup with 9.4 steals per game on average, good for 11th best in college basketball. In other words, Wright State will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
