Tuesday’s seven-game main slate was loaded with high-scoring performances. Six players scored at least 30 points, and plenty of them were among the slate’s most productive Fantasy players at the end of the night. Giannis Antetokounpo’s 50-point night stole the show, but we’ll go over some of the other notable stat lines before dishing out some DFS advice for Wednesday.
Who’s hot
Antetokounmpo was flat-out ridiculous on Tuesday against the Pacers. The Bucks superstar scored 50 points on 21 shots and grabbed 14 rebounds in a win. He was the main slate’s most productive Fantasy player and still only trails Nikola Jokic in the season-long standings. Milwaukee added more depth to their frontcourt by adding Serge Ibaka, but that move doesn’t seem likely to lessen Antetokounmpo’s workload.
KAT became the latest in a long line of centers who have dominated Charlotte this year. The Timberwolves big man amassed 39 points and 15 rebounds Tuesday in his team’s overtime victory. He’s tallied at least 24 points and 10 rebounds in four consecutive home games.
Young came within one assist of notching his sixth straight double-double on Tuesday. He racked up 41 points, three rebounds, and five assists against the Cavaliers at State Farm Arena. The Hawks‘ star guard is averaging 33 points, 9.0 assists, and 2.7 assists per game against Cleveland this season and is playing at an outstanding level ahead of the All-Star break.
Who’s not
Harris has fallen short of his season scoring average in three consecutive games and had an absolute stinker against the Celtics on Tuesday. He totaled just six points on 2-of-7 shooting against Boston and grabbed five boards in the 76ers‘ embarrassing loss. Harris has averaged 11.3 points and 7.0 rebounds over his previous three outings, and that’s far from the production Fantasy managers expect to get from a player who cracks the top 10 among small and power forwards.
DFS Target
Trent scored a season-high 42 points the last time Fred VanVleet didn’t play, and that was not a fluke. The Raptors wing has played in five games without Toronto’s starting point guard and averaged 29.6 points, 3.6 assists, and five made 3s in those contests. He’s scored at least 32 points in three straight contests without VanVleet and attempted at least 21 shots in his last four outings without the point guard.
