What to Know

After two games on the road, the Xavier Musketeers are heading back home. The Musketeers and the Seton Hall Pirates will face off in a Big East battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Cintas Center. Seton Hall should still be riding high after a win, while Xavier will be looking to right the ship.

Xavier came up short against the Providence Friars on Wednesday, falling 99-92. Six players on Xavier scored in the double digits: guard Adam Kunkel (20), guard Paul Scruggs (19), forward Zach Freemantle (15), guard Colby Jones (14), guard Dwon Odom (11), and forward Jack Nunge (11). Scruggs hadn’t helped his team much against the Connecticut Huskies on Saturday, so this was a nice turnaround for him.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Seton Hall beat the Butler Bulldogs 66-60 on Wednesday. The Pirates’ forward Tyrese Samuel filled up the stat sheet, picking up 15 points along with five boards.

The Musketeers are now 17-11 while Seton Hall sits at 18-9. Seton Hall is 11-5 after wins this year, and Xavier is 5-4 after losses.
