The Northwestern Wildcats are 1-7 against the #24 Iowa Hawkeyes since January of 2016, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Northwestern and the Hawkeyes will face off in a Big Ten battle at 8 p.m. ET at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Wildcats are the clear underdogs, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Northwestern, who are 12-13-1 against the spread.
Northwestern’s defeat took them down to 13-14 while Iowa’s victory pulled them up to 20-8. This past Friday Iowa relied heavily on Tony Perkins, who had 20 points along with five rebounds. It will be up to Northwestern’s defense to limit his damage.
