What to Know
The Boston College Eagles have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. The Eagles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will face off in an ACC battle at noon ET on Saturday at McCamish Pavilion. BC hasn’t won a matchup against Georgia Tech since March 6 of 2018, but they’ll be looking to end the drought.
The game between BC and the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes on Wednesday was not particularly close, with BC falling 81-70. Four players on BC scored in the double digits: guard Makai Ashton-Langford (21), forward James Karnik (13), guard Brevin Galloway (11), and forward Quinten Post (10).
Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for the Yellow Jackets as they fell 68-65 to the Clemson Tigers on Wednesday. Guard Jordan Usher had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 32 minutes but putting up just nine points on 3-for-10 shooting and four turnovers.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. If Georgia Tech want to win, they will need to focus on stopping the Eagles’ Makai Ashton-Langford, who had 21 points, and James Karnik, who had 13 points in addition to seven boards. We’ll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
