Through 1 Quarter
The experts predicted a victory for the Chicago Bulls, but it’s no sure thing at this point. a win is still up for grabs for either team after one quarter, but they are up 24-22 over the Cleveland Cavaliers
Chicago hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to eight points or fewer. Power forward Evan Mobley has done his best for Cleveland, currently boasting 11 points (50% of their total) along with two boards. A double-double would be Mobley’s fourth in a row.
Who’s Playing
Cleveland @ Chicago
Current Records: Cleveland 38-28; Chicago 40-26
What to Know
After two games on the road, the Chicago Bulls are heading back home. They will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8 p.m. ET this past Saturday at United Center after having had a few days off. Chicago will be strutting in after a victory while Cleveland will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Bulls didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Detroit Pistons this past Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 114-108 win. It was another big night for Chicago’s small forward DeMar DeRozan, who had 36 points along with eight boards.
Meanwhile, the game between Cleveland and the Miami Heat this past Friday was not particularly close, with Cleveland falling 117-105. The losing side was boosted by power forward Evan Mobley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mobley has had at least 12 rebounds.
The Bulls are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past six games, so buyers beware.
Chicago had enough points to win and then some against the Cavaliers in the teams’ previous meeting in January, taking their contest 117-104. Will Chicago repeat their success, or does Cleveland have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
