2022 Atlanta NASCAR race picks, Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 predictions, odds, lineup from legendary expert

Chase Briscoe was named last season’s NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year despite going without a victory or top-five finish in 36 starts. The 27-year-old Indiana native has begun his sophomore campaign strong, however, finishing third in the season-opening Daytona 500 and capturing his first checkered flag last weekend at Phoenix. Briscoe will attempt to become the first two-time winner of the year when he gets behind the wheel for the 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

Briscoe is listed at 18-1, while reigning Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, 2021 race winner Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano are 10-1 co-favorites in the latest 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott round out the top five 2022 NASCAR Atlanta 500 contenders at 11-1. You’ll want to check out the NASCAR at Atlanta predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 picks of your own.

Roberts, a former Vegas bookmaker, was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting, and now hands out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine. Roberts is the nation’s premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Elliott, won the Jockey Made in America 250 last season.

He also correctly predicted the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner, hitting Larson’s victory at 11-2 odds. The previous week, he was on point at the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix, targeting Elliott as the winner at 8-5 odds. Anyone who has followed his picks is up huge year after year.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday’s NASCAR at Atlanta 2022 race. He’s sharing his winner and projected leaderboard right here.

2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 expert picks

One shocker: Roberts is low on Elliott, even though he’s among the top 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 contenders. In fact, Roberts says Elliott, who is winless in seven Cup Series starts at Atlanta, barely even cracks the top 15.

“Elliott has a 13.5 average finish on his home track,” Roberts told SportsLine. “The Dawsonville, Georgia native has one top-five finish in seven starts at Atlanta.”

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Kevin Harvick, even though he’s a 15-1 long shot in the latest NASCAR at Atlanta odds. The 46-year-old Californian has gone 47 starts without a win dating back to Sept. 19, 2020, when he posted his career-best ninth victory of the season. But Harvick has had success in this race, sandwiching wins in 2018 and 2020 around a fourth-place finish.

“He ran consistently (this year) at both Las Vegas (12th) and Fontana (seventh), so he’s in play for me,” Roberts told SportsLine. “Harvick’s first career Cup Series win came at Atlanta in the third start of his 2001 rookie season, and he has posted a series total of three here with 1,348 laps led in 32 starts.”

How to make 2022 NASCAR Atlanta predictions

Roberts is high on a long shot who had a strong showing at Las Vegas two weeks ago. This driver is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can only see who it is here.
