March Madness’ mayhem gave us upsets, Cinderellas and even Peacocks, but now after two weeks of tourney play, there are just four teams left standing as we near closer to crowning this year’s national champion. Now it’s time for a fresh look at the four-team field to see what the fine folks in Las Vegas have to say about how the remainder of this bracket might unfold.
In a somewhat surprising development, the only remaining No. 1 seed, Kansas, is not the betting favorite to win the chip, according to updated odds from Caesars Sportsbook. KU’s +190 odds are second-best on the board, trailing Duke by a smidge. In its Final Four matchup, it opened as a four-point favorite over No. 2 seed Villanova for the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
In the second game of the Final Four, Duke opened as a 4.5-point favorite over rival North Carolina with its futures odds currently shortest on the board among the teams still standing. UNC, meanwhile, the only team not a No. 1 or 2 seed still in the field, unsurprisingly has the longest odds to win it all.
