Eight teams have at least five picks in the first three rounds and there’s a run on WRs, OLs and EDGE
It’s a three-round mock draft, which means we get an idea of what holes teams will try to fill beyond the first 32 picks. And perhaps more importantly, see what those teams without a first-rounder will do once they finally get on the clock.
This week, Malik Willis is again the first quarterback off the board, though he gets past both the Panthers at No. 6 and the Falcons at No. 8. Then, for the first time in a long time, we have Matt Corral as the next QB taken. He’s been our QB1 since the fall, and while we know there are differing opinions on him around the league, he’s an athletic, mobile, strong-armed passer who fits the mold of where the position is headed. Finally, at the bottom of the first round, Kenny Pickett comes off the board, and two more quarterbacks are taken on Day 2.
Of all 105 picks (which included nine compensatory picks), there were five quarterbacks drafted, while wide receivers, cornerbacks and edge rushers each had 15 players selected. Here’s the breakdown every other position:
RB: 4
TE: 4
OT: 12
OG: 8
OC: 3
DT: 7
LB: 10
S: 7
Keep reading to see how all three rounds unfold, whether you’re a fan of the the Chiefs, who have six picks, or the Rams, Raiders, Panthers or Dolphins, who each have a lone selection on the first two days of the draft.
