One of the top Week 1 NFL predictions from the model: The Baltimore Ravens comfortably beat the New York Jets on the road by at least a touchdown. The Jets finished just below league average in stopping quarterback rushes last season and gave up 298 yards and three touchdowns. Lamar Jackson played just 12 games last season, but still finished with 767 rushing yards, and after missing the end of last year, he’ll be motivated to come out strong in Week 1.
The Jets don’t have a firm timetable for quarterback Zach Wilson’s return from surgery to repair a torn meniscus, meaning Joe Flacco will likely face his former team as the Jets’ QB. Additionally, New York’s second-round draft pick, running back Breece Hall, had a discouraging preseason with just 29 yards through three games.
