KSI vs. Tommy Fury, Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis: Fight card, rumors, PPV price, date, complete guide

Influencer boxing is back in a big way on Saturday night in England. Two of the innovators of this new craze are in action this weekend for one of the most anticipated events of the year in this space. KSI is back in action when he takes on reality TV star Tommy Fury. Plus, Logan Paul competes for the first time in two years when he takes on mixed martial artist Dillon Danis. It all goes down from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on Saturday night.

Fury, brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is coming off the biggest win of his career, defeating Jake Paul by split decision in February. He now looks to add another win over an influencer to his resume, though it’s still somewhat unclear whether the fight will be a professional bout or an exhibition.

“I’m going to solely concentrate on Saturday night, get a great performance God willing and then we’ll get around the table and see what’s next. I’m sure if Logan Paul wants it, he can definitely have it, 100 percent,” Fury said in an interview with British outlet The Sun.

“I don’t really care about these guys, any one of them, whoever wants it at that time, whoever puts up the best offer is gonna have the fight, aren’t they? It doesn’t matter to me who I fight, especially not with these guys.”

The fight was originally listed as an exhibition as it will not be sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control, but the bout listing was recently changed to professional on BoxRec.

KSI only has one professional victory, a split decision win over Logan Paul in 2019. Prior to that fight, KSI had fought twice in amateur bouts — one of which was against Paul. He has fought three more times in bouts sanctioned by the Professional Boxing Association, which technically were exhibitions. In those fights, he defeated rapper Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in the same night and then defeated FaZe Temperrr.

After his fight with KSI, Paul fought one more time, being carried for eight rounds in an exhibition with Floyd Mayweather Jr. His main focus in the combat sports world has been as a special attraction for WWE, where he has become a surprising hit as a talented wrestler.

Danis has been antagonizing Paul with insulting social media posts about Paul’s fiancee, Nina Agdal. This led to Agdal acquiring a restraining order against Danis.

Danis is an accomplished grappler who was viewed as a potential star in mixed martial arts. Unfortunately, Danis only fought twice as a pro, winning Bellator fights in 2018 and 2019. He has since developed a reputation for pulling out of fights, including a planned January boxing fight with KSI.

The fight had some tense moments during the week as the final press conference nearly derailed Paul vs. Danis. When the two were supposed to square off for photos, Paul threw a water bottle at Danis, who retaliated by thumping his microphone on Paul’s head before the two were quickly separated. Paul appeared to suffer a cut in the fracas, but he assured fans on social media that the fight would still go on as planned.

The undercard is filled with social media influencers looking to make a name for themselves in the boxing ring. Those names include Salt Papi, Slim Albaher, Deen the Great, Walid Sharks, King Kenny, Anthony Taylor, Whindersson Nunes and My Mate Nate.
