Andreeva is 3-4 against players ranked in the top 10 at the time she played them, with two of those wins coming on clay. Besides defeating Sabalenka, she also beat No. 6 ranked Ons Jabeur in the second round of the Australian Open in January, and No. 7 Marketa Vondrousova in the third round of the Madrid Open in April.

Paolini, 28, has two career titles, including one this year at Dubai in February, to go along with three runner-up finishes. She has five wins against top-10 opponents, including two this year. She defeated Jabeur at the Stuttgart Open in April as well as Rybakina on Wednesday at Paris. She is now 8-5 at the French Open after having never gotten past the second round until this year.
