Despite the fact that Mack Brown has led the program to bowl eligibility in each of the last six seasons, the North Carolina Tar Heels have already announced that the 73-year-old will not return to the program next season. This was Brown’s second stint at North Carolina and he has piled up 288 wins during his 36-year career as a head coach. However, Brown wasn’t able to take the Tar Heels to the next level, with North Carolina only making one New Year’s Day bowl during this six-year stint as head coach.
Now, North Carolina football will try to get its program back to the top of the ACC.
