This is the third year for FanDuel’s Kick of Destiny promotion. In each of the first two years, the promotion featured former New England tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was challenged to make a 25-yard field goal both times. This year’s promotion features the Manning brothers battling each other in a field goal kicking competition similar to a penalty shootout in soccer (but without a goalkeeper obviously). Each brother will attempt a 25-yard field goal; if one makes, and the other misses, the successful kicker wins. If both Mannings make or miss the kick, they will attempt a second kick. If there’s no resolution after the second round, they will go to a third and final round. If there’s no winner after three rounds, the Manning who kicked the ball closest to the center target on the net in the third round will win the tiebreaker.

Preview
Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts met in this game two seasons ago. On that day, Mahomes became the first quarterback in big game history with at least three passing touchdowns, zero turnovers and zero sacks. Meanwhile, Hurts became the first quarterback with at least 300 passing yards, 70 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in any game in league history, regular season or playoffs. Mahomes and Kansas City edged Hurts and Philadelphia 38-35.
Mahomes has a knack for coming up clutch in the postseason. He has seven game-winning drives in playoff history, which ranks second all-time behind Brady (14). On 23 drives in the fourth quarter or overtime in the playoffs in his career with a chance to either tie the game or take the lead, Mahomes has driven Kansas City to either game-tying or go-ahead points on 17 occasions. That’s the best percentage of any quarterback since 2000 (minimum 10 drives).
Hurts also is a proven winner. Over his last seven seasons, spanning college (two seasons at Alabama and one at Oklahoma) and the pros (four with Philadelphia), Hurts has made the playoffs all seven times and has made the title game four times. He also has an 88-20 record over that stretch.
Picks and more to know
The Philadelphia offense rode Saquon Barkley the entire year. Signed in the offseason as a free agent, Barkley had one of the best seasons by a running back in NFL history, running for 2,005 yards, the eighth-biggest total of all-time. Including the playoffs, he has 2,447 rushing yards and is just 30 yards shy of passing Terrell Davis (2,476 in 1998) for the most rushing yards in a season (regular season and postseason) in league history. With a win Sunday, Barkley would also become the first player since Davis in ’98 to win the rushing title and the Super Bowl in the same year.
In the Super Bowl, Barkley will face a Kansas City defense that has struggled against the run recently. Over the last four games, the Chiefs have allowed 164.0 rushing yards a game. That’s a significant dropoff from the 101.8 rushing yards per game the defense allowed during the regular season. However, Kansas City has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in the playoffs since the 2018 AFC Championship Game.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs have advanced to the Super Bowl despite subpar play from their offense. Mahomes & Co. are averaging just 290.0 total yards per game. That ranks ninth out of the 14 teams that made the postseason. Mahomes has been sacked five times across the team’s two playoff games.
The Kansas City offense will go up against a big-play Eagles defense. Over their three playoff games, the Eagles have forced 10 turnovers. That’s four more than the next-best team, Washington. In the NFC Championship Game win over the Commanders, Philadelphia had four takeaways.

To participate in this Promotion, before the end of the Promotion Period (” Lock Time”), you must log in to your FanDuel Account, select the “Kick of Destiny 3” (found in the ‘Free to Play’ section of the FanDuel services), and answer the contest question (the “Kick Pick”). There is a limit of one (1) Kick Pick per eligible participant for the entirety of this Promotion. Any Kick Pick’s submitted after already submitting Kick Pick or after the contest Lock Time will not qualify as an eligible Kick Pick. No purchase or deposit is necessary to submit a Kick Pick.
5. Claiming Promotion Offer
Upon completing the Kick Pick requirements, each eligible user who selected the correct outcome in their Kick Pick submission will win a portion of the Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000) prize pool, divided by the number of correct entries in Bonus Bets available for use only on the FanDuel Sportsbook (the ” Payout”).
