The Athletics are spending a short period in Sacramento while awaiting their new stadium in Las Vegas to be built, but on Sunday they’ll take on their former Bay Area rivals when they host the San Francisco Giants. First pitch is scheduled for 10:05 p.m. ET, and the Athletics are -113 favorites at home in the latest MLB odds, while the Giants are priced at -106. SportsLine’s model is projecting under 10.5 runs to be scored in that matchup, making it one of the top picks in our Sunday MLB parlay.

Other Sunday MLB picks from the SportsLine model include the Padres -135 over the Rangers and over 7.5 runs in Cubs vs. Cardinals. Before making any MLB picks or building any MLB parlay picks, you’ll want to see the MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven computer simulation model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times. It entered Week 15 of the 2025 MLB season on a profitable 39-30 run on top-rated MLB sides picks. It has excelled making home run prop picks this season, returning more than 24 units of profit. Anybody following at sportsbooks and on betting apps could have seen strong returns.

The model has broken down the MLB odds for Sunday and just revealed its top MLB picks. Combining the model’s three picks into an MLB parlay at FanDuel would result in a payout of +570 (risk $100 to win $570). New users can even take advantage of the FanDuel promo code offering $150 in bonus bets if your first $5 wager wins.

Here are its best bets for the MLB slate on Sunday

  • Under 10.5 runs in Athletics vs. Giants (-122)
  • Over 7.5 runs in Cubs vs. Cardinals (+100)
  • Padres on the money line against the Rangers (-132)
  • Combine these picks for a shot at a +540 payout (odds subject to change)

Under 10.5 runs in Athletics vs. Giants (-122)

Several books have this number at 10 runs, but DraftKings bumps the over/under to 10.5, which helps add a little extra value for our parlay. Lopez has only given up four earned runs over 26 1/3 innings in his last five starts and the young lefty is a big reason why the model is predicting the two teams only combine to score 9.1 runs. It says Under 10 hits in nearly 60% of simulations, so you’re getting even more with DraftKings offering the 10.5.

Over 7.5 runs in Cubs vs. Cardinals (+100)

The over has hit in seven of the last 10 head-to-head matchups between these two bitter rivals. Cubs starter Matthew Boyd is the likely reason that this line is so low, as Boyd has a 2.65 ERA over 17 starts in 2025. However, Cardinals starter Erick Fedde has given up seven earned runs in each of his last two starts, and the Chicago offense is the second-best in baseball this season. The model is predicting 9.1 runs on average and says the over hits in well over 60% of simulations.

Padres on the money line vs. Rangers (-132)

San Diego is yet to name a starter for this matchup but Rangers starter Jack Leiter has been up and down in his first full MLB season. He posted a 5.47 ERA in the month of June and the Padres have a team OPS that is over 50 points higher against right-handed pitching (.705) than it is against left-handed pitching (.654). The model predicts that the Padres ride that matchup advantage to a win in nearly 60% of simulation. You can get the best price for San Diego on DraftKings, where you can also get $150 in bonus bets instantly after your first $5 bet with this DraftKings promo code.
