Best NFL football knockout, survivor pool picks, strategy, advice for Week 2, 2021

Best NFL football knockout, survivor pool picks, strategy, advice for Week 2, 2021

According to the latest NFL odds, several teams already are projected to be far better than their opponents in Week 2. In fact, there are three games with double-digit NFL spreads to consider for your NFL football pool picks. Not surprisingly, the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of those clubs, while another is the Cleveland Browns, who squandered a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter and lost their season-opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Buccaneers and Browns both are 12.5-point favorites against the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans, respectively, in the latest Week 2 NFL Vegas odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and many will jump on them with their NFL survivor pool picks.

Other favorites that could attract attention for NFL knockout pool picks include the Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5 against the Las Vegas Raiders), Green Bay Packers (-11 against the Detroit Lions) and Denver Broncos (-6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars). Before making any Week 2 NFL survivor picks, see which team the red-hot SportsLine Projection Model just went all-in on.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,900 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 2 of the 2021 season on an incredible 121-79 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

In Week 1, the model recommended the 49ers as its top survivor pick. San Francisco won in 75 percent of SportsLine’s simulations, and the Niners built a 28-point lead against the Lions and held on for the win.

Now the model has locked in on the Week 2 NFL schedule and found its top survivor pick. You can only see who it’s backing this week here.

Top Week 2 NFL survivor pool predictions

For Week 2, the model is shying away from the Kansas City Chiefs against the host Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson has yet to defeat Patrick Mahomes, losing all three of their head-to-head matchups while registering more than 150 passing yards just once. The 2019 NFL MVP threw for 235 yards in Baltimore’s season-opening loss at Las Vegas and appeared to form a connection with newcomer Sammy Watkins, who had four catches for 96 yards.

The 28-year-old Watkins signed a one-year contract with the Ravens in April after spending the previous three campaigns with the Chiefs. The 2014 fourth overall draft pick, who had his only 1,000-yard season the following year with the Buffalo Bills, had 37 receptions for 421 yards and two TDs in 10 games for Kansas City in 2020. Baltimore has lost its last four matchups against the Chiefs but still is too dangerous for the model’s projections this week.
