Inter roll at home

It was a clinical display at home for Inter while sporting their fancy new third kit as they scored three goals in each half to blow away Bologna, 6-1. Inter had 19 shots on the game and 11 on target, going on the counter time and time again to punish the visitors.

Five different players scored, including a brace from Edin Dzeko to give Inter the lopsided victory. The victory comes at a good time after losing at home to Real Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League, breaking a streak of 24 straight games with a goal.

Fiorentina earn impressive road victory

Don’t look now, but … are Fiorentina back? Three wins from four to start the season, with a loss to Roma mixed in, have La Viola believing. One of the league’s best defenses has continued to hold its own with the team securing back-to-back road wins at Atalanta and Genoa. Riccardo Saponara and Giacomo Bonaventura were the heroes in the victory as the winners had the majority of the ball and the chances in what was another convincing display which the scoreline doesn’t quite reflect.

Genoa got a goal in added time to cut it close but never really were in contention for a draw.

With the victory, Fiorentina are fifth while Genoa have lost three of four.

Atalanta rescued by Zapata strike

In Duvan they trust. Duvan Zapata, the intimidatingly strong Colombian striker, was the hero once again for Atalanta as his 75th-minute winner helped his team to a 1-0 win at Salernitana in a match that looked destined for a draw. The chances were fairly even for each side though Atalanta looked more confident, where sharper in their passing and saw most of the ball. But as the clock continued to drain, a point for each looked likely until Zapata was able to gain possession in the box, make a nifty move outside and fire a strike at the near post that found its way in:

The win provisionally lifts Atalanta into seventh place.
