NFL odds, lines, picks, spreads, bets, predictions for Week 15, 2023: Model backing Browns, Seahawks

There are 11 AFC teams above .500 and the race for the seven spots in the AFC playoff bracket should be highly competitive. This logjam makes many games on the Week 15 NFL schedule stand out since they could have postseason ramifications. Ravens vs. Jaguars on Sunday Night Football will see division leaders going head-to-head and Baltimore is a 3.5-point road favorite in the latest Week 15 NFL odds. Other NFL matchups involving a potential AFC playoff team include Browns vs. Bears (+3), Texans vs. Titans (-2) and Bills vs. Cowboys (+2).

Despite winning five straight and clobbering the Eagles on Sunday night, Dallas is an underdog in the latest Week 15 NFL spreads. However, no one would be surprised if Buffalo not only locks down a playoff spot, but also represents the AFC in the Super Bowl. There are convincing reasons to back both sides with this week’s NFL bets. All of the Week 15 NFL lines are listed below, and SportsLine’s advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and NFL predictions you need to make the best Week 15 NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season on an incredible 176-129 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. It is also on a 30-21 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of last season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 15 NFL odds and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 15 NFL predictions

We can tell you one of the model’s strongest Week 15 NFL picks is that the Browns (-3) cover at home against the Bears. Cleveland is coming off a season-high of 307 passing yards, and the week prior it had 240 passing yards, which was its third-most of the season. That’s the Joe Flacco effect as the veteran has elevated the passing game, which was among the worst in the NFL before him. Flacco has a 5:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, while all other Browns quarterbacks combined for a 9:13 ratio.

As for Chicago’s passing offense, it still appears to be stuck in mud as Justin Fields has one or fewer TD passes in nine of his last 11 starts. That’s a bad omen ahead of a matchup against Cleveland’s top-ranked total defense that is also No. 1 against the pass. It will make Chicago one-dimensional, and the Browns have put the clamps on running QBs this year, giving up just 14.2 rushing yards per game to quarterbacks, including holding Lamar Jackson to an average of 34 rushing yards across two games.

Taking away Fields’ running ability would derail Chicago’s offense. The model has the Bears scoring almost five fewer points than what they average, as the Browns (-3) cover well over 60% of the time. See which other teams to pick here.

Another one of its Week 15 NFL predictions: The Seahawks (+4) cover the spread versus the Eagles. Jalen Hurts has fumbled in seven straight games and has more games with one or fewer touchdown passes (eight) than multi-TD games (five). His struggles have affected the entire Eagles offense, as Philly is coming off back-to-back games with fewer than 20 points, marking the first time that’s happened for it since the 2020 season. Not having a reliable run game outside of Hurts is a major factor in those struggles, as D’Andre Swift is averaging under 4.0 yards per carry over his last 10 games.

As for Seattle, it isn’t playing its best either, but at least the Seahawks are finding ways to cover. Despite losing four in a row straight-up, Seattle has covered in three of those four, including against the NFC’s elite in San Francisco and Dallas. The last two weeks have shown that Philly is a notch below those two, while the Seahawks are 7-3 ATS in conference matchups. With these factors, the model has Seattle covering at home well over 50% of the time, with the Under (47.5) hitting in almost 60% of simulations. See which other teams to pick here.
