Ben Roethlisberger has hit another milestone in what has been a Hall of Fame career. During Sunday’s game against the Packers, the Steelers‘ veteran quarterback threw his 400th career touchdown pass. The milestone pass came on a 45-yard strike to Diontae Johnson on Pittsburgh’s first possession.
Roethlisberger is the eighth quarterback to reach 400 career touchdown passes. He joins Tom Brady (591), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539), Brett Favre (508), Phillip Rivers (421), Dan Marino (420), and Aaron Rodgers in that company.
A two-time Super Bowl champion, Roethlisberger is seventh all time with 61,149 career passing yards. Roethlisberger’s 170 total victories as a starter is fifth all-time, behind Brady (266 wins), Manning (200), Favre (199) and Brees (181).
Roethlisberger is also part of some undesired history. He entered Sunday’s game as the third-most sacked quarterback in league history. Roethlisberger entered Sunday with 524 sacks against him, behind only Brady (527 sacks) and Favre (525 sacks).
It’s been a tough season for Roethlisberger, who entered Sunday’s game with as many touchdown passes (three) as interceptions. Roethlisberger has not received much help from an offensive line that consists of four new starters. He has been aided by the play of rookie running back Najee Harris, who caught a team-high 20 passes through three weeks.
