Lamar Jackson continues to win football games for the Baltimore Ravens, setting impressive records on his way toward becoming one of the game’s great quarterbacks. Jackson has accomplished feats unlike any other quarterback in NFL history, and continued to reach new marks in the Ravens’ victory over the Denver Broncos Sunday.

Jackson threw for 316 yards and a touchdown in the victory, while also rushing for 28 yards. While throwing for 300 yards for just the second time in his career, that allowed Jackson to become the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 1,000 yards and rush for 250 yards in the first four games of a season.

“We made some plays where we had to,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said after the win, via the Ravens website. “I’m biased. You know [Jackson is] just really special. Lamar will be the first to tell you it wasn’t just him.”

Jackson threw for over 300 yards against a Denver defense that allowed just 162.3 passing yards a game in the first three games of the year. He has completed 63.6% of his passes for 1,077 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions (89.3 rating), while also rushing for 279 yards and averaging 6.6 yards per carry.

Jackson has recorded either a rushing or passing touchdown in 40 consecutive games, the longest active streak by a quarterback — also the fifth-longest for a quarterback in NFL history. He’s one of just five quarterbacks to have 40 straight games with a passing or rushing touchdown.

The Ravens are 33-8 since Jackson became their starting quarterback in Week 11 of the 2018 season, the best winning percentage in the league. Jackson continues to put up impressive numbers and the Ravens continue to win.

It’s not a coincidence.

“I can’t believe people said he couldn’t throw,” Ravens wide receiver James Proche said after the win. “It’s crazy, right? That’s wild – like barbaric. That’s like saying water’s dry.”
