Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterback Preview: Streamers, projections, DFS plays, and more

Everything you need to know about quarterback in Week 6

It’s been a pretty awful start to the year for the rookie quarterbacks. And outside of Justin Herbert, it hasn’t been much better for the second-year guys. But there are signs coming from Joe Burrow that should lead to optimism.

For one thing, Burrow’s efficiency has been outstanding. He’s completing 71.7% of his passes, he’s averaging 8.8 yards per pass attempt, and he has a quarterback rating of 106.4.  Each of those numbers is elite. So what’s the problem? Mostly volume.

Burrow didn’t top 30 passes once in the Bengals‘ first three weeks and he only threw 18 passes in the Week 3 win over the Steelers. But he’s thrown 70 passes, and scored 46.7 Fantasy points, the past two weeks.

I’m hopeful the Bengals were just trying to ease Burrow back in and they’re getting close to releasing him fully. That hope, combined with four teams on a bye, makes Burrow a borderline No. 1 quarterback this week.

Of course, he’s rostered in too many leagues to be considered a streamer. But I have a couple of passers below for those purposes. Just don’t drop Burrow for them.
