Who’s Playing

Dallas @ New England

Current Records: Dallas 4-1; New England 2-3

What to Know

After a three-game homestand, the Dallas Cowboys will be on the road. They will take on the New England Patriots at 4:25 p.m. ET next Sunday at Gillette Stadium. New England will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

You can’t lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Dallas’ strategy against the New York Giants on Sunday. Everything went Dallas’ way against New York as they made off with a 44-20 win. Dallas can attribute much of their success to RB Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for one TD and 110 yards on 21 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD.

Special teams collected 14 points for Dallas. K Greg Zuerlein delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Meanwhile, the Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Houston Texans on Sunday, sneaking past 25-22. No one had a standout game offensively for New England, but they got scores from RB Damien Harris and TE Hunter Henry. QB Mac Jones ended up with a passer rating of 145.70.

Most of the squad’s points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 13. K Nick Folk booted in four field goals, the longest a 52-yarder in the second quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the matchup.

The wins brought Dallas up to 4-1 and New England to 2-3. Dallas is 3-0 after wins this year, the Patriots 0-1.
