Who’s Playing
Seattle @ Pittsburgh
Current Records: Seattle 2-3; Pittsburgh 2-3
What to Know
The Pittsburgh Steelers have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Seattle Seahawks at 8:20 p.m. ET Oct. 17 at Heinz Field. The Steelers will be strutting in after a victory while Seattle will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Pittsburgh was able to grind out a solid win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, winning 27-19. Pittsburgh’s RB Najee Harris was one of the most active players for the team, rushing for one TD and 122 yards on 23 carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Harris has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
Meanwhile, Seattle came up short against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, falling 26-17. A silver lining for Seattle was the play of WR DK Metcalf, who caught five passes for two TDs and 98 yards.
Pittsburgh’s victory brought them up to 2-3 while the Seahawks’ loss pulled them down to an identical 2-3. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Steelers rank first in the NFL when it comes to rushing touchdowns allowed, with only one on the season. Less enviably, Seattle is stumbling into the matchup with the most yards allowed per game in the league, having given up 450.8 on average.
