Ravens vs. Chargers odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: 2021 Week 6 NFL predictions from proven model

The Baltimore Ravens‘ (4-1) evolution into a pass-first offense has been one of the most fascinating plot lines in their success this season. They meet another juggernaut passing offense when they host the Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) on Sunday. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has the fifth-most passing yards in the NFL with 1,519, just 57 yards behind the Chargers’ Justin Herbert.

Kickoff is set for at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore is favored by 2.5-points in the latest Ravens vs. Chargers odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under is 51. Week 6 picks for Ravens vs. Chargers

Before you turn on the Chargers vs. Ravens game, you need to see the picks from SportsLine’s proven model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,900 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 6 of the 2021 season on an incredible 125-83 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Ravens vs. Chargers, the model predicts that Baltimore (-2.5) will cover at home and move to 5-1 on the season. This game has a little bit of shootout potential, as the Ravens defense has allowed the fourth-most passing yards to opponents in the league this season. However, over their last three games, the Ravens defense has allowed the seventh-fewest third down conversions. Herbert has completed 65-percent of his passes on third downs this season and the Chargers have the fifth-highest third down conversion rate on offense.

The emergence of WR Mike Williams finally realizing the potential the Chargers saw when they drafted him in 2017 has been a huge difference maker for Los Angeles. After coming away with 122 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3, he was back at it again against Cleveland in Week 5, with 165 yards and another pair of scores. SportsLine’s projections see Baltimore’s pass-catching duo of WR Marquise Brown and TE Mark Andrews offsetting Williams’ production on Sunday, as the duo combines for 12 catches and 152 yards.

Baltimore’s rushing attack is not nearly in the place many expected it to be after the deluge of season-ending injuries to its running backs at the beginning of the season. Latavius Murray has been just functional enough to keep it going, which is why he finishes with 50 yards and the Ravens go on to cover the spread in over 50 percent of simulations.
