The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros will meet in the 2021 World Series beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to determine who is crowned Major League Baseball’s latest champion. The Braves reached this point after taking down the Milwaukee Brewers in four games in the National League Division Series before downing the Los Angeles Dodgers in six NLCS games. This is Atlanta’s first time in the World Series since 1999.

Conversely, this is the Astros’ third trip to the Fall Classic in five tries. The Astros downed the Chicago White Sox in four games in the American League Division Series to reach the AL Championship Series. Houston then prevailed against the Boston Red Sox, advancing in six games. The Astros (95-67) had a better regular season record than the Braves (88-74), so Houston has home-field advantage in the Fall Classic.

Below, you’ll find all you need to know about the World Series:

Astros vs. Braves odds

(Via Caesars Sportsbook)

World Series winner

Braves +125; Astros -145

World Series MVP

Jose Altuve: +900

Yordan Alvarez: +1000

Freddie Freeman: +1000

Alex Bregman: +1000

Carlos Correa: +1100

Michael Brantley: +1100

The two sides did not meet during the regular season. Indeed, they haven’t played one another since 2017, when the Astros went 4-0 against the Braves and outscored them by 25 runs in the regular season. It’s fair to write those results don’t have any predictive value as it pertains to this series.

SportsLine’s projections, however, should have some. Here’s what they foresee based on their simulations:

  • Astros: World Series winners in 49.5 percent of simulations
  • Braves: World Series winners in 50.5 percent of simulations

In other words, it’s expected to be a close one.
