On Monday, the Pistons lost to the Atlanta Hawks on the road by a decisive 122-104 margin. The top scorers for Detroit were small forward Saddiq Bey (21 points) and power forward Kelly Olynyk (21 points). The Pistons already had one of the league’s weaker rosters coming into the season, but the injuries to Grant and Cunningham haven’t helped.

Philadelphia’s most recent game against the New York Knicks on Tuesday wasn’t particularly close as the Sixers fell, 112-99. Tobias Harris had 23 points and nine assists along with nine rebounds, but Embiid was held to just 14 points and six rebounds in 30 minutes on the floor.
Detroit took one win and covered twice as an underdogs against Philadelphia last season, and with Embiid still getting up to speed and Simmons not playing, Philly shouldn’t take Detroit lightly.
