How to watch Wizards vs. Hawks basketball game

Through 3 Quarters

The point spread is against the Washington Wizards, but thus far the points are on their side. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Atlanta Hawks 100-86 three quarters in. Washington has been riding high on the performance of center Montrezl Harrell, who has dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds along with four dimes.

Both the Wizards and Atlanta were victorious their last time out, but right now only Washington is in position to continue that streak. It’s looking like Washington will be able to keep the momentum, but Atlanta still has a quarter to right the ship.

Who’s Playing

Atlanta @ Washington

Current Records: Atlanta 3-1; Washington 3-1

What to Know

The Washington Wizards haven’t won a game against the Atlanta Hawks since March 6 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Thursday. They will face off at 7 p.m. ET Oct. 28 at Capital One Arena without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The Wizards are out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.

Washington beat the Boston Celtics 116-107 on Wednesday. Washington’s center Montrezl Harrell was one of the most active players for the squad, posting a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Atlanta came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, sneaking past 102-99. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 33-19 deficit. Among those leading the charge for Atlanta was point guard Trae Young, who had 31 points and seven assists along with five boards.

Washington is expected to lose this next one by 3. If their 3-1 record against the spread is anything to go by, the prospects look good for bets placed on them.

The wins brought Washington up to 3-1 and the Hawks to 3-1. The Wizards and Atlanta are both 1-1 after wins this season, but that symmetry won’t hold for long.
