National Women’s Soccer League regular season action continues on Saturday as fourth-place Orlando Pride host ninth-place Racing Louisville FC at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. The two clubs are meeting for the second time this season, following a 1-1 draw back in July.

Storylines

Racing Louisville FC: This Louisville side gets another opportunity to try and lock up a win after going winless in the last five matches. The team will need more attacking opportunities from international players Ebony Salmon and Nadia Nadim as both players have had an impact in the final third for Louisville. Nadim scored the lone goal in the teams previous meeting against Orlando back in July. Defensive woes have hindered the team at times this season, and they will need to remain more organized to close out games against an attack that features Sydney Leroux and Marta.

Orlando Pride: The hosts will be without their starting goalkeeper and team captain Ashlyn Harris after she sustained a neck injury during the match against Houston the previous week. The team has Canadian international and recent Olympic gold medalist Erin McLeod available on the roster to slot into place, and the team has been led in the attack by Leroux with seven goals on the season, and midfielders Marta and Taylor Kornieck each have three assists this season. Defender Ali Krieger will likely be relied upon to help keep the backline organized in Harris’ place and to connect the attack from the back if needed.
