MLB DFS: Top Astros vs. Braves DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks for Game 4, 2021 World Series

MLB DFS: Top Astros vs. Braves DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks for Game 4, 2021 World Series

Throughout the first two rounds of the 2021 MLB playoffs, perhaps no hitter made a bigger impact than Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker. The 24-year-old had a breakout regular season and began his postseason by belting four home runs and driving in 15 during the ALDS and the ALCS. However, Tucker hasn’t driven in a run during the first three games of the 2021 World Series, and the Astros offense has only managed nine runs in three games, with seven of those runs coming in a Game 2 win.

That’s left MLB daily Fantasy players in a difficult position after many road Tucker to huge profits earlier this postseason. So can Tucker heat back up to merit inclusion in your MLB DFS lineups for Game 4 on Saturday at 8:09 p.m. ET? And who else in the MLB DFS player pool on sites like FanDuel or DraftKings should be considered with both managers likely to be quick with the hook? Before setting any Braves vs. Astros Game 4 MLB DFS picks or lineups, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

In Game 1 of the World Series, McClure listed Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez as one of his core lineup picks for both FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Alvarez walked in his first at bat and tripled in his last to return 12 points on DraftKings and 15.2 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with Game 4 of the 2021 World Series set to unfold on Saturday, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Game 4 of the 2021 World Series

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Saturday is Astros second baseman Jose Altuve. The seven-time MLB All-Star tied his career-high with 31 home runs this season and he’s also hit four home runs so far in the 2021 MLB playoffs. And while he’s hitting just .189 overall this postseason, a .167 BABIP means he could be in line for a breakout at any point.

Altuve has historically been solid against both left-handed and right-handed pitchers, so the splits shouldn’t be a huge factor for him with the Braves having a bullpen day on Saturday. Hitting at the top of the lineup, he should continue to be a table setter and is a candidate for a huge night with the Astros’ backs against the wall down 2-1.

Part of his optimal MLB DFS strategy also includes stacking Altuve with Alvarez. The former MLB Rookie of the Year only played in the field 39 times during the regular season because he’s a defensive liability, but his bat is too valuable to leave out of the lineup. He’ll be starting in left field without a DH spot in Game 4 of the 2021 World Series.

Alvarez belted 33 home runs and drove in 104 during the regular season, and he’s had an impressive 1.223 OPS during the 2021 MLB playoffs. And even with the Braves likely to try to play mix and match with their bullpen on Saturday, Alvarez’s splits are nearly identical against left-handed (.881 OPS) and right-handed (.874 OPS) pitching this season, making him an ideal option for your MLB DFS lineups in Game 4.
