NBA DFS: Mo Bamba and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 1, 2021

NBA DFS: Mo Bamba and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 1, 2021

One stat that pays big dividends to daily Fantasy basketball players is defensive steals. Although pinning down when players will snag enough of them to make them top producers in your NBA DFS lineups on sites like FanDuel or DraftKings isn’t always easy, it helps if the player you’re considering is also a reliable scorer. Charlotte’s Miles Bridges leads the Hornets in scoring at 24.6 points per game, but he’s also in the top 15 of all NBA players in steals with 11. Bridges’ teammate, LaMelo Ball, also has 11 steals this season.

On Monday, Charlotte plays host to Cleveland, who has given away the third-most steals to opponents this season, with 10 per game. For Ball, Cleveland’s guard trio of Darius Garland, Ricky Rubio and Collin Sexton are the main culprits when it comes to the Cavs’ issues maintaining possession. Ball is also hitting 41 percent of his three-pointers this season and could be in for a huge night on Monday. Before finalizing your NBA DFS picks for Monday, November 1, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Sunday, McClure listed Nets guard James Harden in his player pool on DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Harden had a triple-double consisting of 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds against Detroit to return 52.5 points on DraftKings and 43 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Monday, November 1 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, November 1

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Monday is Magic center Mo Bamba at $7,100 on DraftKings and $6,600 on FanDuel. With Jonathan Isaac still on the shelf for the Magic, Orlando has often gone with Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. on the floor at the same time. Bamba has been the more productive of the two thus far, with 13.1 points, nine rebounds and nearly two blocks per game.

On Monday, the Magic take on Minnesota, which over its last three games has seen offensive possessions end with a blocked shot 6.3 times per game. That number is the third-highest in the NBA during that stretch. Bamba has had a bit of a tumultuous start to his career, but appears to be turning a corner with the consistent minutes he’s been getting since the second half of last season.

Another key in McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Spurs guard Derrick White ($6,100 on FanDuel and $6,400 on DraftKings). White has provided steady Fantasy production since the start of the season, and against Milwaukee on Saturday, he had 17 points and four assists in 33 minutes on the floor.

Early on, White has nearly doubled his average of assists per game over last season, with 6.2 in 2021, and through six games is averaging 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks. The Spurs face Indiana on Monday, and although Pacers‘ guard Malcolm Brogdon is off to a good start offensively, he also has one of the highest turnover rates in the NBA at 3.4 per game. Brogdon’s teammate, Domantas Sabonis, turns the ball over at a similar pace, so White should be able to create some turnovers and extra scoring opportunities for himself.
