Through 2 Quarters
The experts predicted a win for the Portland Trail Blazers, but it’s no sure thing at this point. At halftime neither squad has the contest in the bag, but Portland leads 59-55 over the Indiana Pacers.
Shooting guard CJ McCollum has led the way so far for the Trail Blazers, as he has 19 points along with four boards. Indiana has been relying on the performance of shooting guard Justin Holiday, who has 12 points and two assists.

What to Know
The Portland Trail Blazers will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They will take on the Indiana Pacers at 10 p.m. ET on Friday at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter. Bragging rights belong to Portland for now since they’re up 9-3 across their past 12 matchups.
The Trail Blazers were close but no cigar on Wednesday as they fell 107-104 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Portland’s defeat came about despite a quality game from shooting guard Norman Powell, who had 23 points.
Meanwhile, Indiana had enough points to win and then some against the New York Knicks on Wednesday, taking their matchup 111-98. The Pacers’ power forward Myles Turner looked sharp as he shot 7-for-10 from downtown and finished with a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds in addition to three blocks. Turner has also now had at least three blocks in his past three games.
Rip City is the favorite in this one, with an expected 5.5-point margin of victory. Now might not be the best time to take Rip City against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past three consecutive games.
Indiana’s victory lifted them to 3-6 while Portland’s loss dropped them down to 3-5. We’ll see if the Pacers can repeat their recent success or if the Trail Blazers bounce back and reverse their fortune.
