South Carolina vs. Florida: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAA Football start time

Through 1 Quarter

The Florida Gators typically have all the answers at home, but the South Carolina Gamecocks are posing a tough problem. The Gamecocks currently hold a slight 10-7 lead. They took a hit to their ego two weeks ago, so a win here would be a pleasant pick-me-up.

USC has been riding high on the performance of RB ZaQuandre White, who has picked up 86 yards on the ground on five carries. White’s longest run so far was for 54 yards in the first quarter.

USC and Florida both experienced trouble in their last games, but one is bound to make up for it today. USC is out front, but they can’t get complacent.

What to Know

The South Carolina Gamecocks haven’t won a contest against the Florida Gators since Nov. 11 of 2017, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Gamecocks will take on Florida at 7:30 p.m. ET at Williams-Brice Stadium after a week off. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

USC has to be hurting after a devastating 44-14 loss at the hands of the Texas A&M Aggies two weeks ago. USC was down 41 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. No one had a standout game offensively for USC, but they got scores from QB Jason Brown, RB MarShawn Lloyd, and TE Traevon Kenion.

Meanwhile, things couldn’t have gone much worse for Florida as they lost 34-7 to the Georgia Bulldogs last week. The Gators were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 24 to nothing. Their only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Emory Jones.

The Gamecocks have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 20.50 point spread they are up against. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn’t have high expectations for them since the squad is 1-3 ATS when expected to lose.

The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 4-4. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: USC is 169th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown five on the season. The Gators have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 247th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown 12 on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
