What you need to know about the Jazz

The Jazz came up short against the Orlando Magic on Sunday, falling 107-100. Shooting guard Jordan Clarkson had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only six points on 2-for-13 shooting in his 27 minutes on the court. But the big men for Utah did their jobs in the game as both Rudy Gobert and Hassan Whiteside posted double-doubles.

Point guard Mike Conley (maintenance) did not play in that game but he is expected to start Tuesday vs. Atlanta. Utah is 7-1 when Conley is in the lineup but just 0-2 without his services. The Jazz are otherwise healthy with Rudy Gay (heel) the only rotation player unavailable tonight.

What you need to know about the Hawks

Meanwhile, the game between Atlanta and the Golden State Warriors on Monday was not particularly close, with Atlanta falling 127-113. Point guard Trae Young put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 28 points and nine assists. Three other Hawks finished in double-figures including Kevin Huerter who had 11 points off the bench.

Atlanta has lost four straight games with three of those four coming on the road. Its matchup with Utah will be the third game of a four-game road trip and the Hawks can’t return home soon enough. They have a 1-6 record in away games compared to a 3-1 record in Atlanta.
