Who’s Playing
Pennsylvania @ Bucknell
Current Records: Pennsylvania 0-2; Bucknell 0-1
What to Know
The Pennsylvania Quakers are on the road again on Sunday and play against the Bucknell Bison at 2 p.m. ET Nov. 14 at Sojka Pavilion. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’
UPenn has to be hurting after a devastating 87-66 defeat at the hands of the George Mason Patriots on Friday.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Bucknell and the NC State Wolfpack on Tuesday was not a total blowout, but with the Bison falling 88-70 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Four players on Bucknell scored in the double digits: Andrew Funk (14), Xander Rice (14), Jake van der Heijden (13), and Josh Adoh (12).
The losses put UPenn at 0-2 and Bucknell at 0-1. A pair of last-season numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Quakers are stumbling into the contest with the eighth most turnovers per game in college basketball, having accrued on average. The Bison experienced some struggles of their own as they are 349th worst in college basketball in takeaways, with only 11.5 on average. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
