The experts predicted a victory for the Phoenix Suns, but it’s no sure thing at this point. After one quarter neither squad has the contest in the bag, but Phoenix leads 27-23 over the Houston Rockets.
Shooting guard Devin Booker has taken over for the Suns, currently boasting 16 points (59% of their total) and two dimes. Houston has been relying on power forward Christian Wood, who has eight points along with five rebounds, and center Alperen Sengun, who has four points in addition to six boards and one block.

What to Know
The Houston Rockets haven’t won a matchup against the Phoenix Suns since Dec. 21 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Sunday. The Rockets’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on Phoenix at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 14 at Toyota Center. Phoenix will be strutting in after a win while Houston will be stumbling in from a loss.
Houston ended up a good deal behind the Portland Trail Blazers when they played this past Friday, losing 104-92. The top scorer for Houston was point guard Kevin Porter (18 points).
Meanwhile, the Suns made easy work of the Memphis Grizzlies this past Friday and carried off a 119-94 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 62-43. Phoenix’s point guard Chris Paul did his thing and dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 dimes in addition to five steals.
The Rockets are expected to lose this next one by 8.5. Their home court has been no bettor’s paradise, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in four of their five home games.
