NBA DFS: Kevin Durant and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 16, 2021

NBA DFS: Kevin Durant and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 16, 2021

With just three NBA games on Tuesday, daily Fantasy basketball players will have to deal with a shallow NBA DFS player pool. Add in that star players like Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard and Kyrie Irving won’t suit up, and you may have to scour depth charts to find players to fill your NBA DFS lineups. One player who a savvy Fantasy player may consider is 76ers forward Georges Niang.

He’s more than doubled his career scoring average this season by putting up 12.0 PPG along with 2.4 rebounds per contest.

With not only Embiid out, but also Ben Simmons, Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle unavailable, Niang should get all of the minutes and shots he can handle vs. his former team in the Jazz. But what other potential steals are out there who could factor into your NBA DFS strategy? Before locking in your NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Monday, McClure listed Wizards guard Spencer Dinwiddie as one of his top NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Dinwiddie went off for 27 points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals to return 52.25 points on DraftKings and 51.5 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Tuesday, November 16 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, November 16

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday is Nets forward Kevin Durant at $10,300 on DraftKings and $10,600 on FanDuel. Already a four-time scoring champ, Durant is on pace to win his fifth scoring title as he leads the NBA with 29.6 points per game, his highest average since the 2013-14 season.

The Nets will need that many points and then some on Tuesday as they will be severely shorthanded vs. the Warriors. Not only is Irving out, but Brooklyn will be without two other starters in Joe Harris and Nicolas Claxton. Thus, even more will be expected out of Durant and he’s shown time and time again that he’s up to the challenge. He’s playing his best as of late as he’s averaging 31.6 PPG in November after putting up 27.7 PPG in October.

Part of McClure’s NBA DFS strategy also includes rostering Clippers forward Paul George ($10,200 on DraftKings, $10,000 on FanDuel). George is coming off his fifth double-double of the season as he had 27 points and 11 boards vs. Chicago on Sunday.

The Clippers will be without Leonard as well as Marcus Morris Sr., Serge Ibaka and possibly Terance Mann who is questionable. All of those absences will force even more on George’s shoulders and he’s already having a career season. His 26.5 PPG is the highest of his Clippers career while his rebounds (8.2), assists (5.2) and steals (2.2) per game are all career highs. George should exploit a Spurs defense that ranks 21st in points allowed and has given up an average of 118 points over the last three games.

How to set NBA DFS lineups for Tuesday, November 16
