The #19 Ohio State Buckeyes have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Xavier Musketeers at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at Cintas Center.
The Buckeyes took their game at home on Monday with ease, bagging an 89-58 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons. OSU was heavily favored coming into this contest, and the results showcase why. They got double-digit scores from five players: forward E.J. Liddell (13), guard Meechie Johnson Jr. (13), forward Zed Key (12), guard Eugene Brown III (12), and forward Justin Ahrens (11).
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between Xavier and the Kent State Golden Flashes this past Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Xavier wrapped it up with a 73-59 win at home. Xavier’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Colby Jones, who had 19 points in addition to eight rebounds, and guard Paul Scruggs, who had 23 points along with seven boards.
Their wins bumped OSU to 3-0 and the Musketeers to 2-0. We’ll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when the Buckeyes and Xavier clash.
