The 76ers took a serious blow against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, falling 120-85. Philadelphia was down 97-66 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. One thing holding Philadelphia back was the mediocre play of small forward Furkan Korkmaz, who did not have his best game: he finished with only six points on 2-for-12 shooting in his 34 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, Denver came up short against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, falling 111-101. Denver’s loss came about despite a quality game from center Nikola Jokic, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 16 boards in addition to six assists.
Philadelphia is expected to lose this next one by 7.5. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past five games, so buyers beware.
