This Sunday, the Memphis Grizzlies are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 116.37 points per game. They will look to defend their home court Sunday against the Sacramento Kings at 6 p.m. ET. Sacramento will be strutting in after a win while the Grizzlies will be stumbling in from a loss.

It’s never fun to lose, and it’s even less fun to lose 132-100, which was the final score in Memphis’ tilt against the Atlanta Hawks this past Friday. Memphis was down 105-66 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Shooting guard John Konchar (17 points) was the top scorer for Memphis.

Meanwhile, it may have taken triple overtime to finish the job, but Sacramento ultimately got the result they were hoping for this past Friday with a 141-137 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The score was all tied up at the break 43-43, but Sacramento was the better team in the second half. They got their victory on the backs of several key players, and it was shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton out in front shooting 5-for-9 from downtown and finishing with 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Grizzlies are expected to win a tight contest. Now might not be the best time to take Memphis against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.

Memphis got away with a 107-106 win when the two teams previously met in May. Will they repeat their success, or does Sacramento have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
