Who’s Playing

No. 14 Florida @ Oklahoma

Current Records: Florida 6-0; Oklahoma 6-1

What to Know

The #14 Florida Gators will face off against the Oklahoma Sooners on the road at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Lloyd Noble Center. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.

Florida simply couldn’t be stopped on Sunday, as they easily beat the Troy Trojans at home 84-45. Six players on the Gators scored in the double digits: guard Tyree Appleby (12), guard Myreon Jones (12), forward Anthony Duruji (11), guard Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (11), forward Colin Castleton (10), and guard Brandon McKissic (10).

Meanwhile, Oklahoma sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 win over the UCF Knights on Saturday. The Sooners’ guard Jordan Goldwire filled up the stat sheet, picking up 11 points and seven assists.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Florida is expected to win a tight contest. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a five-game streak of ATS wins.

Florida was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap when the teams previously met three seasons ago as they fell 65-60 to Oklahoma. Can the Gators avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll soon find out.
