NBA DFS: Jayson Tatum and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Dec. 7, 2021

NBA DFS: Jayson Tatum and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Dec. 7, 2021

With 28.6 points per game, Kevin Durant leads the NBA and is on pace to win his fifth scoring title. Durant tops the leaderboard in points despite shooting more mid-range jumpers than ever before, which goes against recent NBA trends. But all that matters is how many points you get, and not where you get them from, and KD’s scoring has made him one of the top NBA DFS picks this season. He will look to display his mid-range game when his Nets visit the Mavericks on Tuesday who may be without Luka Doncic (questionable).

With his scoring exploits, Durant is the most expensive player on FanDuel and the second-most expensive player on DraftKings. Thus, rostering him means you’ll have to search for value elsewhere to stay under your NBA DFS salary cap. So who amongst the league’s three Tuesday games can give you a great return on investment? Before locking in your NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Monday, McClure listed Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns as one of his core NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: KAT scored 31 points with 16 rebounds and six assists, which returned 65.5 points on DraftKings and 62.2 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Tuesday, December 7 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, December 7

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday includes Celtics forward Jayson Tatum ($9,400 on DraftKings and $9,700 on FanDuel). Tatum posted 31 points with 10 boards and four assists in a Saturday win over the Trail Blazers. It was his ninth double-double of the season and his third 30-10 game of the year.

One of those other 30-10 games Tatum had came against Tuesday’s opponent in the Lakers. Last month, the two-time All-Star poured in 37 points with 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists against the team who grew up rooting for. With Jaylen Brown (hamstring) questionable to play, the Celtics may be over-reliant on Tatum tonight and that could lead to him having another huge game.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Nets center LaMarcus Aldridge ($5,700 on DraftKings and $5,600 on FanDuel). Aldridge is Brooklyn’s third-leading scorer and is coming off a 20-point, seven-rebound game on Saturday. Aldridge has moved into the starting lineup over the Nets’ last five games and is averaging 15.2 PPG as a starter compared to 13.4 as a reserve.

The Nets are without Joe Harris and, of course, Kyrie Irving so Aldridge will continue to be a secondary scoring option. Brooklyn will take on Dallas who has been torched by opposing centers all year. The Mavs have allowed the second most Fantasy points to opposing centers on DraftKings and the third-most on FanDuel. Aldridge had 26 points the last time he saw the Mavs so he will be eager to face them again tonight.

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Tuesday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
