What to Know
The LIU Sharks are staying on the road Thursday to face off against the Fordham Rams at 7 p.m. ET Dec. 9 at Rose Hill Gym. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’
The Sharks came up short against the Towson Tigers last Thursday, falling 72-63.
Meanwhile, the contest between Fordham and the St. John’s Red Storm on Sunday was not a total blowout, but with the Rams falling 83-69 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. One thing holding Fordham back was the mediocre play of guard Antrell Charlton, who did not have his best game: he finished with only eight points on 3-for-11 shooting in his 30 minutes on the court.
LIU is expected to lose this next one by 6.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.
LIU came out on top in a nail-biter against Fordham when the teams previously met three seasons ago, sneaking past 60-57. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Rams have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
