Who’s Playing
UNC-Asheville @ Western Carolina
Current Records: UNC-Asheville 5-4; Western Carolina 6-4
What to Know
The UNC-Asheville Bulldogs have enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Western Carolina Catamounts at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday at Ramsey Center. UNC-Asheville has some work to do to even out the 1-5 series between these two since November of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
The Bulldogs entered their contest against the Chattanooga Mocs on Wednesday without any home losses — but there’s a first time for everything. UNC-Asheville was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap as they fell 78-73 to Chattanooga.
Meanwhile, Western Carolina didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 74-69 win.
Western Carolina’s victory lifted them to 6-4 while UNC-Asheville’s loss dropped them down to 5-4. We’ll see if Western Carolina can repeat their recent success or if UNC-Asheville bounces back and reverse their fortune.
