What you need to know about the Broncos

The Broncos lost to the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday, 22-9. Teddy Bridgewater threw two second-half interceptions, including one that was returned for a 75-yard TD. He had not thrown an interception in his previous four games. It was Denver’s 12th straight loss to Kansas City. 

Javonte Williams had a career-high 178 scrimmage yards (102 rushing) and a TD catch last week. Patrick Surtain II has intercepted a pass in each of the last two games.  Melvin Gordon (hip/shoulder) and Bradley Chubb (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday’s game. 

What you need to know about the Lions

Detroit’s 29-27 win over Minnesota was the Lions’ first victory since Week 13 of the 2020 season. Jared Goff threw a game-winning 11-yard TD pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown as time expired. St. Brown became the third rookie since 2000 to catch his first career TD pass with no time remaining in the fourth quarter. He set career highs in receptions (10) and yards (86). 

Goff passed for 296 yards and three TDs with an INT last week and has two-plus TD passes in each of his last two games. Jamaal Williams (health and safety protocols) and D’Andre Swift (shoulder) are out for Sunday’s game. T.J. Hockenson (hand) is doubtful.
